Looking at you causes a deep pain to fill my chest ~ Finally realizing that I deserve only the very best ~ I make the heart-wrenching decision to walk away ~ Years past and really I hoped it won't all end this way ~ Though I was yelling - my voice was too small for you to hear ~ In time my needing to feel your love will disappear ~ Though I gave and fought you never saw me as your number one ~ Desolated I walk away – regretfully with your only son ~ You’ll never change - repeating history inevitably ~ And again you’ll lose her, just like you did me ~ Like Moses freeing the Israelites from Pharaoh ~ From the cast of your slavery – I’m letting go ~ That cycle of separation and irritation ~ Never again will I have to go through ~ Accepting reality has again become.. the hardest thing I've ever had to do!
