Blur any legible mistakes with
a couple swipes of your eraser.
Alter me.
Like a movie
digitally restored to look brighter and
more pleasing to the eye.
Like a picture
photo-shopped to perfection
without any detection of the true
flaws that lie under.
Remake me.
Back to the drawing board
where you can pencil in
your preferences of I,
until you can find
something plausible,
something worth praising
that resembles your outline of what I should be.
You can fix me.
Redefine me.
Spell my name backwards and
draw a new image and
I’ll still be me.
The way I was yesterday.
Last year,
and the many days before.

Hey lady :) I enjoyed this read right here. Its funny how people desire sometimes to be with you only to change you into the "you" that they want you 2 b. I like the fact that you display your knowledge and acceptance of self in the end. the spelling the name backwards was creative. Peace and blessings!
To be sure, an ordinary passerby would think that my rose looked just like you--the rose that belongs to me. But in herself alone she is more important than all the hundreds of you other roses: because it is she that I have watered.
